Why is a party entertainer a great idea for your event?
Sanity! When groups of children are involved, it's always important to have something for them to do. An entertainer allows you the freedom to enjoy your child's birthday (after all it's your birth-day too!) with one less detail swimming in your head. You can look forward to all the sweet looks, belly laughs, and special memories you'll gain when you're able to sit back and watch your child having fun!
What does Silly Shindigs take care of?
We will come prepared with everything we need for our music, games, and treasure hunt. In some cases, we do ask that a small table and chair be provided.
Can I have my event outside?
In most cases, you can choose to have your event inside or outside, it's up to you! We want you to be fully satisfied with your party, so we do encourage you to think of the special challenges of outside parties such as weather, wind, and distractions (play equipment, etc.). Fairytale Princess parties must be inside events. And, we do ask that, if at all possible, you host Superhero & Big Head Shindigs inside during the hottest months of the year.
I want Silly Shindigs to come to my party, but not my house. What can I do?
Think outside the box. Community Center Rooms, Apartment and Home Association Clubhouses, Daycares, Church Facilities, and Parks are all options.
Does Silly Shindigs do character visits?
Yes, character visits are available. Your chosen character will meet & greet the children, twist balloons, take pictures, bring the birthday kid a special gift, and sing Happy Birthday with your friends and family. Character visits last 30 minutes.
When is Silly Shindigs available for parties?
What is the booking process?
At the time you are ready to book, we'll send you a contract via email. When you receive that, you'll have one week to print, complete, and return it with a deposit (to be applied to Shindig price). Once we receive those 2 items from you, we'll contact you to let you know the party date and time are YOURS! The balance of your party is due at party completion.
When does Silly Shindigs show up to my party?
We like to arrive 15-30 minutes after your party start time to allow for guest arrival. Inevitably, some of your guests will leave home later than they expected, get stuck in traffic, or have some other crazy occurrence on their way to your special day. You know your guests better than we do, so as you're requesting a party time, please keep in mind the "late guest" phenomenom.
How far in advance should I book my party?
As far as possible! There's nothing that thrills us more than telling you the "perfect" date and time are available for your party. Fall, Winter, and Spring are extremely busy seasons. With that said, it's NEVER too late to check. So, if you feel like you're getting a late start, go ahead, send us an inquiry here.
Why are some of the Shindigs recommended for ages 3-8?
In those particular Shindigs, imagination plays a big part! Part of the entertainment is body movements and sound effects to imaginary places on the treasure map. Developmentally before age 3, most boys and girls are not ready for imaginary play.
